Acclaimed pianist, producer, and three-time  Emmy® nominee Kofi B. has been nominated again by the Central Great Lakes Chapter of the  National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in the category of Musical Composition/Arrangement. 

His celebrated project, produced by BlaBoak Ventures, his independent media production  company, features a fresh reimagining of “Fire” by the Ohio Players featuring Billy Beck and  Rick Ward, and “Written All Over Your Face” by The Rude Boys featuring Joe Little III. Kofi B.  served as the arranger for the project, which captivated audiences nationwide, amassing over  3.9 million views and inspiring a powerful new generation of music lovers. 

Recognized for his outstanding creativity, cultural impact, and visionary artistry, Kofi’s latest  Emmy® nomination reflects a career rooted in bridging generational gaps and celebrating  Ohio’s Black musical excellence. With a footprint that far surpasses regional borders, this honor  further solidifies his reputation as one of today’s most exciting and visionary young artists.

About Kofi B.: 

From Akron to accolades, Kofi B. is a 3x Emmy®-nominated pianist, producer, actor, and  media personality known for his innovative approach to music, public speaking, and storytelling.  A 2018 NAACP ACT-SO National Competition Silver Medalist, Kofi’s creative work has reached  millions globally across digital platforms. 

In 2021, he founded BlaBoak Ventures, the media production company behind multiple  Emmy® nominations, including his latest honor for Musical Composition/Arrangement. His journey includes collaborations with legends such as the Ohio Players, Joe Little of The Rude  Boys, and J Moss, and a history-making win and hosting role at New York’s famed Apollo  Theater
